You wash up at the edge of the Oak Meadows with only a wooden axe. The old Trading Post still stands, but its shelves are empty. What happens next is up to you.

Gatherbound is a cosy pixel-art gathering and crafting game you play in your browser. Fell trees, crack open ore veins, cast into quiet ponds and slowly grow a lonely clearing into a thriving village.

Gather across five biomes Travel from the Oak Meadows through the Birch Grove, Pine Highlands and Maple Autumnlands, all the way to the Enchanted Glade. Each biome holds better trees, richer ore, deeper water and rarer fibre than the last. Watch for sparkling rare trees: they drop precious Tree Essence.

Craft your way up Build a workbench, furnace, anvil, weave bench, sawmill and cooking station. Smelt copper, iron and gold, weave twine into silk, and forge every tier of axe, pickaxe, sickle, rod, shovel, hoe, sword, bow and armour, all the way up to diamond.

Farm the land Till plots and grow carrots, potatoes, pumpkins, corn and golden melons, plus fibre crops like cotton, flax and silkweed.

Build a village Lay stone paths, light torches and put up walls and gates. Find wanderers camped in the wild and recruit them as woodcutters, miners, foragers and fishers who work for you while you explore.

Defend it When night falls, goblins raid your village. Arm yourself, build watch towers loaded with arrows, and keep your buildings standing until dawn. Brave enough? Take the fight to their outposts.

Every new world is generated from its own seed. Keep as many save worlds as you like, and autosave means you'll never lose progress.
