Monsters pour out of crimson rifts from every direction. Your weapons fire on their own. All you have to do is stay alive for 10 minutes, but in the final 30 seconds the moon swallows the sun, the world goes dark, and the horde comes for you in waves. Hold on until dawn and watch the light burn them all away.

Eclipse Survivors is a bite-sized, pixel-art roguelite. Pick a hero, grab gems, level up, build an unstoppable arsenal, and see how long you last.

Features

  • 16 heroes, each with their own starting weapon and stats, from the Wizard and Knight to the Storm Witch, Bard, Necromancer and Dragon Knight
  • 20 weapons, each with its own evolution. Max a weapon, pair it with the right item, and watch Magic Bolt become Arcane Barrage or the Katana become Eclipse Blade
  • 3 maps (Moonlit Field, Frozen Wastes and Ember Caverns), each with its own monsters, hazards and three bosses, including the Slime King, Snow Queen and Phoenix
  • Objectives mid-run: blood rituals, monster nests, bounty elites and a treasure goblin that flees through a portal if you're too slow
  • Altars to claim for temporary blessings, but stepping onto one wakes its guardians
  • Slot-machine treasure chests that can roll a triple or a jackpot
  • 5 difficulty modes, from Easy up to the brutal Eclipse mode, plus Endless mode after a win
  • Permanent progression: spend gold in the shop on upgrades, heroes and weapons, rank up hero mastery, complete quests and fill out the bestiary
  • An original chiptune soundtrack with themes for every map and boss fight

Controls

  • Move: WASD or arrow keys (or drag on touch)
  • Dash: Space or Shift (second finger on touch)
  • Pause: P or Esc
  • Mute: M

This is a playtest build

The game is still in development and I'd love your feedback. Let me know in the comments:

  • Which heroes and weapons felt strongest or weakest?
  • Was the difficulty too easy, too hard, or about right?
  • Did you run into any bugs?
  • What made you want to play one more run (or stop)?
